Privacy Policy

📋 1. General information

This privacy policy describes how MiCompi ("the app", "we") handles user information for the MiCompi mobile app, available on the Apple App Store.

By using MiCompi, you accept the terms described in this document. If you don't agree with any of them, please don't use the app.

🗃️ 2. Data you enter in the app

MiCompi lets you enter and save the following data:

• Your pet's name
• Meal records (amount in grams, date, and time)
• Weight records (kilograms and date)
• Sleep records (start time, end time, and duration)

This data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData, iOS's native storage technology. If you have iCloud enabled on your device, the data automatically syncs with your personal iCloud account so it's available across all your Apple devices.

This sync is fully managed by Apple and is end-to-end encrypted. MiCompi has no access to your iCloud account and cannot read, modify, or delete the data stored there. You can review how Apple manages and protects iCloud data in Apple's privacy policy.

MiCompi never sends your data to its own servers or to any third party other than Apple.

🚫 3. Data we do NOT collect

MiCompi does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Personal identification data (name, address, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Usage data or in-app behavior analytics
• Diagnostic data or crash reports
• Device information (model, iOS version, identifiers)
• Any financial or payment data
• Cookies or other tracking identifiers

🔗 4. Third-party services

MiCompi doesn't integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, ad networks, or telemetry services.

The only external service involved in the app is Apple's iCloud, used exclusively to sync your data across your own devices. Apple acts as data processor under its own terms and privacy policy, available at apple.com/legal/privacy.

You can turn off iCloud sync at any time from Settings → [your name] → iCloud → MiCompi.

👶 5. Children's privacy

MiCompi is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children of that age. Since the app doesn't collect any personal data, there's no risk of inadvertently collecting data from minors.

🛡️ 6. Data security

Data stored on your device is protected by iOS's native security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, system encryption). We recommend keeping your device and operating system up to date.

Data synced with iCloud is transmitted and stored encrypted through Apple's security infrastructure. MiCompi never has access to that data at any point.

When you uninstall the app, local data is removed from your device. iCloud data can be managed from Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.

✏️ 7. Your rights

MiCompi doesn't store any data on its own servers, so there's no personal information of yours that we could access, modify, or delete on our end.

You're always in full control of your data:

• You can edit or delete any record directly from the app
• You can turn off iCloud sync from your iPhone's Settings
• You can delete iCloud data from Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → MiCompi
• You can erase all local data by uninstalling the app
• You don't need to create an account or identify yourself to use MiCompi

🔄 8. Changes to this policy

If we update this privacy policy in the future, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document and, for significant changes, notify you through an app update on the App Store.

We recommend checking this page periodically to stay informed of any changes.

⚖️ 9. Applicable law

This privacy policy is governed by applicable Spanish and European data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spain's Organic Law on Data Protection and Digital Rights Guarantee (LOPDGDD).

Data processing through iCloud is additionally subject to Apple Inc.'s terms, which acts as data processor under Article 28 of the GDPR.
